AMP Energy announces the Largest Battery Storage Facilities in Europe

Amp Energy a global Energy Transition Platform, and renewable energy developer,  has announced the largest battery storage facilities in Europe. It has 2 flagship 400 MW projects located in Central Scotland. The Battery Portfolio is due to be operational by April 2024. Each battery facility will provide 800 MWhrs of energy storage capacity. After consulting with the local councils and the stakeholders, the two sites have received planning consent from the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit on 5th January 2022. Amp’s proprietary Amp X is an AI-powered digital energy platform that will be used to optimize the dispatch of power from the batteries to the electricity grid.
