EV registrations in India have crossed the mark of 50,000 for the first time in December 2021 as reported by JMK Research and Analytics. This has led to a 240% YoY jump from the numbers recorded in December 2020. December 2020 had seen a total registration of 14,978 electric vehicles across the country. In the last month of 2021, electric two-wheelers and passenger three-wheelers accounted for 90.3 per cent of total EV registrations. While Electric two-wheelers constitute 48.6 percent of the total EV registration. Uttar Pradesh tops the EV registrations of India followed by Maharastra, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Delhi.
