The new push toward the electrification of automobiles has increased the demand for skills at all levels in the automotive industry. Not only are global automobile companies hiring, but EV startups in India are also ramping up their employment. Freshers and women account up a major share of this employment, something that OEMs have traditionally avoided. Things are substantially different now that production lines and company structures have evolved in new-age EV enterprises. According to TeamLease Services’ research, around 80% of the new workforce two-wheeler EV businesses are hiring are freshers, while 20% are experienced professionals.
