EV infrastructure & Electric vehicles get prominence in Delhi Civic Budget Plan

Delhi’s civic body New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) has put special attention to EV infrastructure while planning the upcoming budget. The government body has stated that it will cease further purchase of petrol and diesel cars in favour of EVs in the upcoming financial year. The other EV highlights of the plan include setting up of 100+ EV charging points and tie-up with renewable power providers are some of the prominent ones. As a part of the EV promotion initiatives, NDMC had already introduced 60+ e-charging stations. Earlier, the Delhi government had set a target for Electric Vehicles to account for 25 % of total vehicle sales in the capital by 2024.
