EVs From Maruti Suzuki and Toyota India to Get the Newest BYD Blade Cell Technology

Maruti Suzuki and Toyota are planning to enter the Indian electric car industry, with their first electric vehicle being a midsize SUV. The ‘Blade’ batteries are manufactured by Chinese EV firm BYD, and the Maruti-Toyota collaboration anticipates that the battery technology would give it an advantage in the price-conscious Indian market. For the time being, it appears that BYD-sourced Blade cells will be incorporated into battery packs at the TDSG joint battery production facility in Gujarat run by Suzuki, Denso, and Toshiba.
