American giant General Motors plans to set up an all electric heavy vehicle manufacturing facility by 2035, CEO Marry Barra stated. According to reports GM plans to phase out ICE engines completely by 2040. The company aims to engineer these trucks to provide heavy duty towing and hauling along with sufficient range to attract customers. Chevrolet’s 2024 light duty EV called the ‘Silverado’ is claiming to house motors capable of 664 Hp power with a maximum torque of an impressive 1,056 Nm. The range claimed on this vehicle is 400 Miles (644 kms).
