The SEL AWD with the 320-hp dual-motor configuration is our pick; it also has a larger battery pack and a claimed 481 km driving range. It includes a hands-free power liftgate, artificial-leather upholstery, ambient inside lighting, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, and other features as standard.
Highlights
Eco-friendly interiors
One apparent desire was for more environmentally conscious mobility alternatives with a lower environmental impact. Designers addressed these issues by using eco-friendly and sustainably sourced components in the IONIQ 5.
The seats are made of eco-friendly leather that has been colored and treated using flaxseed plant oil extractions.
Textiles generated from sustainable fibers such as sugar cane bio components, wool, and poly yarns, as well as material woven from fibers made from broken used PET plastic bottles, are utilized throughout the cabin.
Surfaces like the dashboard, switches, steering wheel, and door panels are painted with polyurethane bio paint made from rape flower and corn oils.
Ultra-Fast Charging
With a 350 kW charger, the IONIQ 5 can charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. According to WLTP, IONIQ 5 users only need to charge the vehicle for five minutes to gain 100 km of range.
Vehicle-to-Load (V2L)
The V2L function has a power output of up to 3.6 kW. The V2L port is positioned beneath the second-row seats and can be used when the car is turned on. Another V2L port can be found on the vehicle’s exterior near the charging port. Customers can charge high-power electric devices by using a converter. Even when the vehicle is shut off, the exterior port delivers power.

Safety
Driver assistance systems.

Level 2 autonomous driving.
This is the first Hyundai to offer Level 2 autonomous safety technology, which manages speed and distance and supports you while changing lanes.

Surround View Monitor.
Is your parking garage cramped? A little car wash? No worries. The surround-view monitor provides a 360-degree perspective of the area, making it easier and safer to move in limited situations.

Safety with 7 airbags.
The IONIQ 5 has 7 airbags, including a driver’s seat center side airbag to reduce head injuries caused by passengers colliding.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA).
Downshifts are quick and smooth. Rev-matching matches the engine speed to the input shaft speed for the next gear, minimising wear and increasing durability.
Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA).
Using two radar sensors in the lower back bumper, the technology alerts you to traffic in your blind spot. In such a circumstance, if the turn indicator is active, it will sound an auditory alert and apply the brake to avoid an accident.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA).
When reversing out of low-visibility situations, the system not only notifies you when vehicles approach from the side, but it also automatically applies the brakes.
Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (PCA).
If an obstacle is identified by the rear-view camera or ultrasonic sensors, PCA will notify you and, if necessary, apply the brakes.
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).
The front camera is used to monitor the road lines. In the event of an unintentional lane departure, it will notify you and can apply counter steering torque to bring the vehicle back into the lane.
Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go (SCC w/ S&G).
More secure and less stressful. Maintains a predetermined distance from the vehicle in front and automatically reduces or increases speed to a predetermined limit.
The chosen distance is maintained in “stop and go” traffic.
Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA).
At the touch of a button on the smart key, the IONIQ 5 can remotely back into and drive forward out of a parking spot.
Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA).
This semi-autonomous driving technology detects road speed signs and adjusts vehicle speed to meet the posted limit (when activated)
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC).
Utilizes cutting-edge navigation technology to anticipate impending curves or straights on highways and adjusts speed for safer driving.
Driver Attention Warning (DAW).
While driving, it monitors the driver’s attention level. When indicators of driver inattention are recognized, the system warns the driver and recommends a break if necessary.
