New reports have shown that the updated Chetak will be slightly more powerful. For the past few months, Bajaj has been working on updating its Electric scooter Chetak primarily focusing on indigenisation and localisation. The current model uses a Bosch-sourced motor with a top power output of 4.08kW and a continuous output of 3.8kW. While the new documents show a top output of 4.2kW and a continuous output of 4.0kW. The difference may be the case of an updated motor. Additionally, the battery packs could also use a higher level of localisation. The new version already has the typed approval for road use which means that its official launch could be announced soon.
