Rheinmetall Sets Up a Joint Venture for E-Mobility and Green Energy With US-based PolyCharge America

The new joint venture company, Rheinmetall PolyCharge GmbH, aims at producing, developing, and marketing DC-link capacitors. This is an electrification strategy to have a stronger grasp on the rapidly growing markets for electromobility and industrial applications. The joint venture will have the exclusive rights to not only produce but also market NanoLam capacitors in Europe. To justify its close cooperation with PolyCharge, Rheinmetall has simultaneously taken up an approximately 13% share in the Tucson, Arizona-based company. Now both the parties have agreed to not disclose anything about the financial dimensions of the transaction.
