With a low seating posture, the ascending center console emphasizes the recognizable Porsche cockpit. Multifunction sports steering wheel

If you don’t think the standard multifunction sports steering wheel with the recuperation button is sporty enough, you can upgrade to the optional multifunction GT sports steering wheel1. On the top, there is a mode switch and a center marking.

Sustainable Materials

The carpet and floor mats are made of eco-friendly Econyl thread. This is a recycled fiber made from old fishing nets, among other things.

Ambient lighting

The Taycan can also be equipped with ambient lighting, which illuminates the interior. You can, of course, change the color and brightness to your liking

Advanced Climate Control

Performance battery

The Taycan battery makes the most of its enormous potential by utilising pouch cells that have been chemically tuned for maximum performance with a long range: there are 33 modules totaling 396 cells in the large capacity version (Performance Battery Plus).

The battery also uses 800-volt technology rather than the standard 400-volt technology. As a result, charging and driving performance are improved while cable cross-sections are reduced, lowering total weight. In any scenario, the cooling system ensures that the drive receives optimal energy supply. A very durable battery structure provides maximum safety in the event of an accident.

Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

The key to creating an amazing drive was the systematic continuation of the purpose-design approach: no compromises with optimal interplay of drive components. All Porsche Taycan 4S, Turbo, Turbo S, GTS, and Cross Turismo models feature two Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors, one on each axle, and the Performance Battery Plus1 is housed deep within the underbody. Switching two-speed transmission

A newly built, automatically switching two-speed transmission on the rear axle provides significantly improved characteristics. The extremely short-ratio first gear helps with initial acceleration, while the long-ratio second gear saves acceleration for high-speed maneuvers.


Porsche developed Porsche Recuperation Management (PRM) for braking energy recovery in all Taycan models, which works innovatively and can recover up to 90% of braking energy. This means that during active braking, recovery is enabled first, and the mechanical brake is activated only when more braking is required – all managed intelligently by a blended braking system. As a result, your vehicle’s stopping power is greatly improved, and some of the kinetic energy is converted into additional miles of driving pleasure: energy can be fed back into the battery with a recuperation output of up to 275kW. To put it another way, if you drive sportily every day, you may only get up to a third of your range from recuperation. Electrical energy can be recovered by braking from 124 mph to 0 for an additional range of up to 2 miles when using recuperation braking.


Official range statistics for the Taycan exceed 300 miles, though larger-battery models will likely achieve 230-250 miles in hot weather with mixed use. The range of all-electric vehicles decreases as the temperature drops, so expect around 200 miles from the smaller-battery variants.

Driving Modes

Gravel mode

Gravel mode is unique to the Cross Turismo and improves driving in simple terrain like gravel or mud. Off the beaten path for even more independence.

Active Aerodynamics

Porsche Active Aerodynamics with adjustable cool air intakes is designed specifically for aggressive driving on the Taycan and Taycan Cross Turismo. Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB)1 is a cast-iron ceramic-coated brake disc. Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport

Roll stabilization with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC Sport) also ensures sporty performance. This mechanism, which is also used in other model lines, compensates for lateral body inclination almost entirely, allowing the wheels to grip the road better. Torque Vectoring Plus

Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) improves driving dynamics and stability.
